Objectives
and Expertise of Alternative Heating & Cooling Ltd.
 The
Company was founded by Mike Cotter and Brendan Harte,
first registered in June 2001.The
objectives of the company were originally to feed a
small local demand for geothermal, with the company
undertaking the complete project, a total plumbing,
/HVAC package.
Quickly it was realized that the demand
was such that the company could not continue to its
full potential and it was decided to specialize in
Geothermal solely. |
The
director backgrounds prior to setting up the company
were:

Class
II Marine Engineer (Steam and Motor) in the Merchant
navy, Diploma received in 1990
-
Time
served Plumber through F.A.S. training, completed
1995. Training was completed with a Cork based
plumbing contractor, which specialized in Under floor
Heating. More importantly three years experience
installing Heat pumps just prior to the founding of
the company.

After
deciding to specialize, further training was required,

Safety courses to comply with Irish building reg.s
etc

Electro fusion welding certification.
♦
GeoExchange Designer Course certified by the
International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA)
